After securing a spot in the Aubrey Cup semi-final, it looks like Hatfield are favourites to lift the trophy for the first time in the club's history. It could be a glorious season for Town if they can also get promotion and/or win the league title.
The new management team are doing a great job and it would be good for the district if Town could win promotion to the South Midlands League again and net some silverware as well.
Hatfield will play Bovingdon at home in the Aubrey semis after they beat Codicote on Saturday.
That also means Town will face Bovingdon home and away in successive weekends as they play them in the league on March 1 and in the Aubrey seven days later.
A league and cup double would go down a treat.
After yesterday's shock 3-1 defeat to Bovingdon, Hatfield will be gunning for revenge next weekend when they face them again in the Aubrey Cup.
It's a competition Hatfield have never won and they must surely play better than they did yesterday in the cup, otherwise the league and cup double dream will be over.
